I got my ATS up and running last night :)

It's one of Stew's and fitting it was a squeeze to say the least!

Another issue was getting the flow right, in my wisdom I bought a DD pump as it had a flow valve on the pump so it was less to fit in and worry about...so I thought!

When I started the ATS it sounded like a bath draining! So it's a balance to adjust the pump for you get enough water in the box to stop that but not too high...just over an inch water level worked out about right.

The problem was to adjust the pump I'd have to stop it, undo the pump to 'spray bar' connection, pull the pump out of the sump, adjust it, then connected it all back up and turn it on again. After several goes at this it was running OK.

I've left the skimmer on for now (old habits die hard) but the Chaeto is gone and the phosphate reactor turned off.

I was planning to post some pics putting it in, but forgot! I'll take some later and keep this thread updated with my growth pics :)

Cheers Steve

Things this expensive and addictive are usually illegal, I keep on expecting the police to storm the house and grab my skimmer!

You can see the (lack of) space! Luckily I can slide the ATS forward and twist it toward me to get the screen out

Hi eusty. This is off topic but I'm assuming that aluminum bar is being used to allow you to remove the centre section of your cabinet?  What is it called though?

Hank is right. It's there as I removed the centre sections to put the sump in while the tank was still full of water :)

Details here

Ah excellent. Thanks guys. I want to take my sump out and put a bigger one in but my centre piece is in my way. Will give that a shot.  :-)
